A day with Dakota

Dakota is one of my favorite dogs to care for. He is such a sweetie.
He really loves his morning walks around the neighborhood and spends his afternoons outside socializing with the neighbors.
In the evenings he goes with me to get the mail and we have playtime in the house.

Daisy is the Link

I visited Daisy today. I came to see Daisy's Parents, Jamie & Garth. Daisy was our assistant as I learned how to blog, and saw my new website for the first time. Daisy is the link that brought us together and now I have a new website because of her.

Daisy's new family

In 2006 I meet Jamie & Gracie for the first time. They called the Ann Animal Hospital looking for a dog to adopt and I happened to be in the lobby with these two little Chihuahuas that needed a new home.

After our first interview I knew that this was the family for these dogs. Gracie at the time was 18 months old and Daisy became her best friend.

One day they were playing outside and a turtle almost the size of the dogs showed up to play too (they returned the turtle to the Las Vegas Turtle Rescue Group).

Daisy goes everywhere with her new family (Pictures taken in Red Rock National Park)!

In March 2008 Daisy & Gracie got a new little sister, Ainsley. Now Garth is surrounded by all girls!

Pepee resides with Anita Taylor. A match made in heaven! Daisy and Pepee still get together on holidays.

Animal Sanctuaries and Rescue Organizations

Heaven can wait animal sanctuary

HCWS is regularly out in various low income neighborhoods trying to help control the pet overpopulation here in Las Vegas. The mobile vet clinic is a great option for people who have problems getting to our regular clinics, and it also enables us to target areas with the most feral cats.

Betty Honn's Animal Adoptions

Animal Adoptions, LTD. "Where the love of animals reigns supreme". Saving animals lives since 1968. Your help in making a donation will help us make more room for more animals to come in. Help us save more pets lives.

CLAW (Cat lovers around the world)

The goal of our organization is to trap, spay, neuter and inoculate feral and stray animals, cats mostly pets who are left behind when their former owners move away. These animals are turned loose to fend for themselves and repopulate at an alarming rate should they survive. They will have to overcome the desert heat, starvation, dehydration and other predators just for starters. Our organization feeds and waters 24/7 at various sites so that at least some of these animals will not die a slow and horrible death.

Southern Nevada Parrot Rescue

The Southern Nevada Parrot Education, Rescue & Rehoming Society (SNPERRS) is run by volunteers. Our members realize that there are many reasons why someone may need to give up a pet bird for adoption; circumstances change for everyone, and simply selling a beloved pet is not an option for many owners.
